terenobu hirata is a master of the hand thrown and altered form
each piece is lovingly thrown on the potters wheel
and then carved surface texture is meticulously completed by hand...

his forms and glazes are sensitive and subtle and give a nod to the traditions of his native japan. terunobu has trained for many years in ceramics, both in australia and japan and his previous career as a chef informs his appreciation for vessels that work well in the hand.
