finding yourself at home.....

after reopening the showroom in october we have been breaking records with more clients making large purchases than ever before.

its been across the range from furniture to carpets, soft furnishings, artworks and home ware items. thankyou for the support. it has been very encouraging and much appreciated.

of course we have lots of great stock available for gifting and essential purchases... all those items designed and ordered during lockdown have come in handy. our cushions and quilts have been a huge hit in particular. at this time of year we have a large range of australian studio ceramics tableware, candles and votives, personal care products and other useful gifts

you might not realise that we try to hold a large range of furniture items in stock. we try to have beds always available at short notice, as well as many smaller items such as side tables, bedside tables, mirrors, lamps, under-bed boxes and some desks. many items even may be collected or delivered pre christmas.

as you know, there is a government health order in place currently that non-essential retail showrooms, like ours, are currently only accessible to double covid vaccinated clients, who check in on entry, wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth at all times and who socially distance by keeping 1.5meters away from others at all times.

at planet we are following these requirements, so our door is shut during opening hours so that we are able to check everyone on entry. you will currently need to check in and wait at our door for entry.

as one of our clients who is a deputy department head of a hospital treating covid patients explained recently  "this is the easiest pandemic to deal with, all that we need to do is to wear masks correctly and get vaccinated"  our whole team personally know people who have passed from covid and if nothing else, it is out of respect for their wishes that we follow this basic procedure. so you must have your nose and mouth covered at all times in our showroom.

of course at planet we are very much looking forward to the day that we don't need to bother with all of this, but in the meantime, please expect us to be following these basic requirements.   if you have differing views, for your own peace of mind you are welcome to just put it down to the fact that there are also potentially large fines unless we follow procedure.

usual hours:

monday to friday 10am till 5.30pm

saturdays 10am till 5pm

sunday 11am till 4pm

including christmas eve  friday 24th december 10-5.30pm

we then close 25th december to january 3rd inclusive

in january we will be closed sundys and mondays and 26th january
