traditional jamdani cotton is from bengal (divided between india and bangladesh). the cotton requires a humid climate to avoid breakage during spinning and weaving, resulting in a plain weave cloth which is incredibly fine and strong. jamdani is usually woven with contrast patterns through it. hand loomed.
