the base cup comes with sand to hold an agarbatti stick and this also makes it stable. this sand and ash mix will continue to bring fragrance to your space.the incense stick can be extinguished when partially burned easily, by turning it upside down in the sand if desired. perhaps combine this purchase with planet's pure natural sandalwood agarbatti incense.
over time the brass will tarnish and patina. if you want to clean tarnished brass, dissolve one teaspoon of salt into one-half cup of vinegar, add enough flour until the mixture becomes a paste, then rub into the brass and leave for about ten minutes and then rinse with warm water and buff dry.
* care should always be taken with a burning incense stick and it should be kept clear of flammable materials and it is advised to never to leave it unattended while burning.
