ode is made in new south wales of cast porcelain. it is very high fired, so that it will be very durable and it is intended for use, even daily. the clear interior glaze assists with functionality, although the unglazed porcelain surfaces are totally vitrified, so they are not at all porous. ode ceramics are dishwasher safe, however be careful of “temperature shock” with all ceramics. for example from the freezer to a preheated oven may cause damage.

we find that baking soda mixed to a paste is great to clean any ceramic surface.
