planet quilt - kimono silk handspun & handwoven cotton reverse free machine embroidery 246cm x 240 cm

an original planet quilt, face made of vintage kimono silk, handspun and handwoven cotton reverse, thin cotton wadding fill. the free machine embroidery, done in australia, could be considered "drawing by hand with a sewing machine" and takes ten days  and more than 5km of threads. this makes the piece incredibly intricate and also very hard wearing. it is designed to fit a king or queen size bed and approximate size: 246 x 240 cm.            important care instructions: dry clean only.
