alpaca is a soft, supple and smooth to touch. the cellular structure of alpaca is hollow, with microscopic air pockets creating a high thermal capacity and insulation value. this makes it five times warmer than wool.

alpaca fibre is strong and resilient, it is one of the strongest natural fibres second only to silk.   

important care instructions: dry clean (P). or gently immerse the blanket in a bath tub with warm or cold water with a dash of wool wash detergent. leave submerged for 5 minutes. thoroughly rinse with cold water then dry flat on a clothes line or over a clothes horse.
