erez is a sydney based ceramic artist that utilises a difficult hand built clay slab technique. this particular series by ben-or is reminiscent of ikebana vases. this sculpture is a wall vase with three hanging points on the back of the ceramic. 

for erez, the slab has an immediacy and materiality similar to concrete. his work is finished using slips on the outside surfaces and only opts to glaze the work on the inside in order to maintain a level of functionality.
